Maa 'Siddhidatri' is Worshipped on Ninth Day of Navratri

Devi Siddhidatri is the ninth manifestation of Shakti and worshipped on the ninth day of Navratri. Siddhidatri has supernatural healing powers. 'Siddhi' means 'achievements' or 'perfection' and 'datri' means 'the one who gives'. This Goddess is revered to offer all types of Siddhi (perfection) to her devotees and thus glorified with name 'Siddhidatri'. The ever victorious, Maa Siddhidatri is also known as Goddess Laxmi, hence she is the symbol of wealth, happiness and success.
She has four arms and she is always in a blissful happy enchanting pose. She rides on the lion as her vehicle. Goddess Siddhidatri sits on Kamal and rides on the lion. She is depicted with four hands. She has Gada in the one right hand, Chakra in the other right hand, lotus flower in the one left hand and Shankh in the other left hand. It is believed that Goddess Siddhidatri provides direction and energy to planet Ketu. Hence planet Ketu is governed by her.
She is the Goddess who possesses and bestows all type of Siddhis to her devotees. Even Lord Shiva got all Siddhis by grace of Goddess Siddhidatri. She blesses all Gods, saints, yogis, tantrics and all devotees as a manifestation of the Mother Goddess. In ‘Devi Bhagvata Purana’ it is mentioned that Lord Shiva worshipped her and was blessed with all Siddhis (supernatural powers). By her blessings his half body became female and other half body male in the avatar of Ardhnarishvara.
It is mentioned in Vedic scriptures that Lord Shiva obtained all Siddhis by blessings of Siddhidatri that made his half Devi and glorified him with name 'Ardha Narishwar'. Worshipping Goddess Sidhidatri solely with mentioned customs and rituals certainly endows all Siddhis and blessings to devotees.
Different scriptures mention different numbers of Siddhi. As per ‘Markendey Puran’, there are mainly eight types of Siddhi names as - Anima, Mahima, Garima, Laghima, Prapti, Prakyamya, Inshitva, and Vashitva. Brahmavaivart Purana’ mentions 18 types of siddhi, named Anima, Laghima, Prapti, Prakamya, Mahima, Ishitva or Vashishtva, Sarvakaamvasayita, Sarvagyatva, DurShravana, Parkaayapraveshan, VaakaSiddhi, Kalpavrushatva, Shrishti, Samharkaransaamarthya, Amaratva, Sarvanyayakatva, Bhavana and Siddhi.Thus, by devoting prayers to Goddess Siddhidatri, worshippers certainly obtain all Siddhis. Worshipping goddess Siddhidatri on the ninth and final day of Navratri bestows all Siddhis to worshippers and successfully completes their Navratri Pooja.
Each day of Navratri has a significant importance, but ninth day is the most prominent, as this is the final and concluding day of Durga Pooja. On the ninth day of Navratri Pooja, ‘Kanya Poojan’ is also performed with grand touch. Little girls up-to 12 years of age visit their neighbour homes to have sacred food (prasad) which consists of puri, chane, halwa, coconut, banana and some money. The devotees of Goddess Durga, who observe fast during Navratri, invite nine girls to their homes to seek blessings of all nine manifestations of the Goddess Durga. Yagya, Maha Pooja and other grand celebrations are also performed to delight Nav Durga on this day.
Siddhi makes the person highly eminent and glorified. After obtaining Siddhi, human beings observe enhancement in their charisma. Ninth day of Navratri Pooja is especially dedicated to Devi Siddhidatri. Worshippers can accomplishe any kind of desire by just worshipping Devi Siddhidatri on the auspicious final day of Navratri. She is said to be very generous for all mankind and animals on earth. There is no any type of wish remain in heart after worshipping her solely. She ends greed and unnecessary temptation toward material comforts. Pray Goddess Siddhidatri and get her immense blessings.
Bhog Offered Goddess Siddhidatri
On the ninth day of Navratra, Mata Siddhidatri is worshipped. Mata Siddhidatri is said to fulfill all types of wishes. She is also called the Goddess of Siddhi(accomplishement). Offering ‘Til’ as a Bhog after observing fast and worshipping is considered auspicious on this day. This fast relieves the person from the fear of death and prevents from any unlikely incident.
